Spring Break cont.

Our next outing over the break we decided to go to the zoo, we just love the zoo. I love seeing the animals as much as the kids. We were able to see a baby elephant and the cougars hissed at us. Don't worry, Maya wasn't afraid. She hissed right back and gave them a scare. The zoo is our favorite place to go as a family. It always wears us all out, every year the kids take a nap on the way home.

We had so much fun taking pictures. Asia, my niece, is awesome and does great pictures. She is just getting started and needs the opportunity to take pics. Ask me for her info, you will not regret it.

The last seven years have been full of laughter, tears, hugs, kisses, and friendship. We love each other very much and consider each other very blessed to have each other!

Watch out, the may put a spell on you. In the last month Kevin and I have been turned into frogs, Princesses, monsters, you name it. We had so much fun in the month of October, pumpkin painting, carving, cookie decorating, and Halloween parties galore.

Kindergarten

I thought this day would have been much harder. When I dropped her off I started to get a little teared up then I saw that she was too. I quickly had to turn off the fireworks and say, " Have a great day, I know you will love it." Then I hurried out so she would not get too emotional. Good things moms usually know what to say and do.

I have always loved haircuts like these. So, I am living vicariously through Katelyn. She was in major need of a cut so we went for it. She loves it and so do I.

Preschool Graduation

Katelyn was just adorable at her graduation. She was really excited to have us there. She just kept smiling, she has loved preschool and will miss her teacher a lot. Her teacher talked about how cheerful and fun Katelyn is, she said every morning Katelyn would greet her with a big smile, a hug and big hello. During the ceremony all of the kids got to said who they were and anything they wanted about themselves. Katelyn said, "I am Katelyn and I love my mom." I started crying right away, I was not expecting to hear that nore was I expecting to cry at a Preschool Graduation. I am sure it will be more tears the day I take her to her first day of all day Kindergarten.

Katelyn has become quite the little dancer. She loves to shake her bootie. Her recital showed how much she learned all year long in dance. She did a dance to Jailhouse Rock and Kung Fu fighting. It was super cute!

Egg hunting with the cousins was too fun. We get together every year and let the kids go crazy with candy and sweets. Someone has to keep the dentists in business, might as well be us.

Fairy Days

My mother gets tickets to Fairy Days every Spring and the girls go nuts for it. Katelyn and Hadley were soooo excited and had fun being princess fairies for a day. They went with their cousins Aiden, Cami, and Brinley. It is put on by the Provo Library.

It was a very nice day and she looked beautiful in the dress that her Aunt Lisa made for her. She is a very good and sweet little baby, we are sooooo blessed.

I was enduced on Friday morning. Kevin and I got there about 7 and they gave me pitocin about 8 am. I was only at a 1 when we got there but by 11 am I was at a 4. I then got an epidural and my doctor arrived shortly after to break my water. By 2 pm I was at an 9 and having hard contractions about 3 minutes apart. At 2:40 my doctor arrived and said I was at a 10 and ready to start pushing. It took about 20 minutes to push the baby passed the cervex because she was posterior, this has been the case with my other kids as well. I delivered her a few minutes later. When she came out I said,"holy crap she is huge." She was 9 lbs and 21 1/2 in. long. Biggest baby by 1 1/2 lbs. Her head measured 37 cm and she has fat rolls, even on her neck. That must have been why it took 20 minutes to push her passed my cervex. I have been feeling the back pain since the epideral wore off. Thank goodness for drugs!!! We still haven't figured out who she looks like. We are sooo grateful that things went well. She is our little sweetheart!

Okay, so we have been battling some nasty sinus infections with Hadley since last summer. We have tried allergy medication as well as 4 different antibiotics only for them to continually return. I decided enough with my family doctor and I went to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist on Friday. He said it sounds like there is something stuck up her nose. So we held her and stuck a little camera up her nose. Sure enough there was something. He had to use these long thin pliers to pull it out. I think it may have been a rubber band. It was soooo gross and stinky! I felt horrible, all of these doctor visits, medications, allergy treatments could have been avoided. She had even had an x-ray that showed nothing. We are so glad its over and that she didn't need surgery.

What a cutie she was on her birthday, unfortunately we had to work until 3. She was sooooo mad. "But I want my birthday cake, she pouted." Apparently she thought I would make it for Breakfast or something. She wanted to go sledding but I am way to fat and prego so Kevin and Spencer, her 16 yr old cousin, took her for a sledding ride behind the 4 wheelers. She was laughing the whole time.

After weeks of torture from hearing "mommy how many more days until Santa" a million times. Santa finally arrived. She couldn't stop talking about her horse and carriage and she wanted to show everyone.

Hadley is our little boy, or at least the closest we will ever have to one. All she wanted for Christmas was cars, cars, cars. She just loves the movie, good thing Santa knew that and got her some Cars from the movie to go with the race track we gave her.

We had fun decorating a Ginger Bread House. Well, at least most of us did. Hadley just kept eating all the candy. Katelyn had been asking to do it for days, she just loves stuff like this.

We had so much fun decorating our Christmas tree Friday night. The girls made sure they both had plenty of turns. They needed a little direction. If it were up to them all of the ornaments would be on one branch.

We did a large Thanksgiving dinner with my family on Saturday the 22nd, as my sister was in town from CA. So we decided we would do another one with just our family since we never have. It was a lot of work, of course I didn't think it would be that bad. lol! The kids were so excited by all of the food and nice place settings. Apparently not enough to eat very much of it. Oh well! Good thing Kevin is the human garbage disposal. 6 hours of cooking is never in vain when you have a hubby like mine. Yet he will always be skinnier than me, go figure!

She was such a cute pig, her nick name has been little piggy since she was one. She would eat everything, finish her plate at dinner and seconds and what ever Katelyn didn't want.

Elephants are one of her many favorite animals. She is getting quite the collection of elephants and horse toys. She is great at mimicing there sounds as well, just as the peopl in the rows at church near us.

We went to our cousins Broden and Logans' house for a Halloween party and had a blast trick or treating together. After a few blocks Katelyn said, "Mom I am hungry." I said great its time for dinner. She of course said,"I am not hungry for dinner, I just want to eat all my candy now."

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and we took the ATV's out to our new price hot spot.

Kids Say the Darndest things!

When we were swimming last at the wavepool Katelyn needed to go potty. While she was sitting on the pot she said, "Dad is is raining outside?" Confused he said I don't know, why. "Well, it is raining on my bum." Which was her wet hair dripping. Where she got the idea of raining outside, who knows!

September-Weekend in Cali!

September-Weekend in Cali!
We took the kids to my sisters and met up with my sister Tami for the weekend. We went to tour a submarine and the Queen Mary at Long Beach. It was very cool, I would highly recomend it!!!

Labor Day Weekend

We went camping at Joes Valley with 5 other families and had a ton of fun. The kids favorite was the beach, luckily the weather was plenty warm for swim suits. We got rained out Monday morning and had to pack up in all the yucky mud.
