IT'S DONE AT LAST!

Our playroom is finally finished. Kevin worked so hard and so many hours on this little playroom above the garage for the girls. When we got home from our vacation it was ready. The girls were so excited. The cubies, which are labeled with chalkboard paint, are for the toys. The brown rectangles on the left are the chalkboards for the kids to color on. I know that the kids are going to enjoy this room for years to come.

Spring Break cont.

Our next outing over the break we decided to go to the zoo, we just love the zoo. I love seeing the animals as much as the kids. We were able to see a baby elephant and the cougars hissed at us. Don't worry, Maya wasn't afraid. She hissed right back and gave them a scare. The zoo is our favorite place to go as a family. It always wears us all out, every year the kids take a nap on the way home.

Spring Break cont.

We started to get cabin fever at the resort and decided to go to the Tree House Museum. It was a lot of fun, the kids loved exploring and seeing new things. It was a lot like the Childrens Museum in SLC but much better. It also was priced better. We will definately go again!

Easter at the Condo

We went to a condo in East Canyon for Easter. Grandma and Grandpa are going on a mission in June so we thought it would be nice to get together for a family reunion before they go. We had a blast, we did egg hunts, egg decorating, played tons of games, and the kids just ran wild.

Bad Haircut but still a pretty Princess.

Poor Hadley was attacked by the Katelyn Monster. At 1st we thought we would have to give her a hair cut like a boy and she protested with the a scared look on her face and said, "But I don't want to be a boy."

At least we were able to work with it and make them look like a bad bang hair cut. This all happened when we had just signed her up for dance. At least now we can we can doll her up to compensate!

Maya's and Mckayla's 1st Birthday

Mckayla and Maya are only 2 weeks apart and we are sure that they will be the best of friends forever. Cousins are the best! Mckayla was sick and had no clue what to do with the Birthday cake so she just painted with it. Maya definately knew what to do with in but still only got about half of it in her belly. I guess that is just how it goes with babies.

Lets see, what has been Maya's life been like in the last year. She is not walking yet but crawls everywhere. She says Mamma and Dadda and loves to talk gibberish. She also really loves to jump, she thinks it so funny and giggles the whole time. She is a very mild mannered baby and very cute. She thinks that her sisters are really funny and tries to follow them around.

It was a really fun trip, we spent 6 days in Florida, only one of which we went to Disney. We did a bunch of other stuff like Mini-golf, family pictures (1st in 7 years), Tate was baptised, swam a few times, and played a lot of fun Board Games with the Bowers. The girls had a blast visiting cousins they never see and getting to know them again. We are soooo glad we went.

Magic Kingdom, Disneyworld!

Disney definately spares no expense when trying to please customers. Their light shows, Mickey shows, dances are definately meant to awe and they do. They also really liked seeing Mickey, Minnie and all of the other Disney Characters. The girls had so much fun but by the end of the day(11p.m.), they were exhausted. They crashed the second we got in the car.

Disney is Magical, especially for a Princess!

Going to Disney with 3 girls meant it was time to go gaga with Princess, Princess, Princess. Sorry Kevin, you are going to have to get used to this. The Girls were so excited to get to meet Bell, Cindarella and Aurora. What a Jackpot, they also wanted to see Ariel but the line was an hour long. UGH! Bell thought Maya was the most adorable baby, she is definately right on with that one. The keep talking about wanting to go back and I am sure we will in a few years. Disney was really fun and their favorite rides where Buzz Lightyear and Its a Small World. Katelyn also really liked Space Mountain, she has no fear I guess.

We went to the Mickey's Philharmagic show and Katelyn laughed really hard. She thought it was really cool. She jumped when he through a baton becuase she thought it was going to hit her. Katelyn really liked Disneyworld this time as she was able to ride most of the rides now. Hadley was content hanging out with me and going on the Magic Carpet ride over and over.

Preschool Graduation

Katelyn was just adorable at her graduation. She was really excited to have us there. She just kept smiling, she has loved preschool and will miss her teacher a lot. Her teacher talked about how cheerful and fun Katelyn is, she said every morning Katelyn would greet her with a big smile, a hug and big hello. During the ceremony all of the kids got to said who they were and anything they wanted about themselves. Katelyn said, "I am Katelyn and I love my mom." I started crying right away, I was not expecting to hear that nore was I expecting to cry at a Preschool Graduation. I am sure it will be more tears the day I take her to her first day of all day Kindergarten.

Maya Olivia Bower

I was enduced on Friday morning. Kevin and I got there about 7 and they gave me pitocin about 8 am. I was only at a 1 when we got there but by 11 am I was at a 4. I then got an epidural and my doctor arrived shortly after to break my water. By 2 pm I was at an 9 and having hard contractions about 3 minutes apart. At 2:40 my doctor arrived and said I was at a 10 and ready to start pushing. It took about 20 minutes to push the baby passed the cervex because she was posterior, this has been the case with my other kids as well. I delivered her a few minutes later. When she came out I said,"holy crap she is huge." She was 9 lbs and 21 1/2 in. long. Biggest baby by 1 1/2 lbs. Her head measured 37 cm and she has fat rolls, even on her neck. That must have been why it took 20 minutes to push her passed my cervex. I have been feeling the back pain since the epideral wore off. Thank goodness for drugs!!! We still haven't figured out who she looks like. We are sooo grateful that things went well. She is our little sweetheart!

Poor Hadley

Okay, so we have been battling some nasty sinus infections with Hadley since last summer. We have tried allergy medication as well as 4 different antibiotics only for them to continually return. I decided enough with my family doctor and I went to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist on Friday. He said it sounds like there is something stuck up her nose. So we held her and stuck a little camera up her nose. Sure enough there was something. He had to use these long thin pliers to pull it out. I think it may have been a rubber band. It was soooo gross and stinky! I felt horrible, all of these doctor visits, medications, allergy treatments could have been avoided. She had even had an x-ray that showed nothing. We are so glad its over and that she didn't need surgery.

Thanksgiving 2008

We did a large Thanksgiving dinner with my family on Saturday the 22nd, as my sister was in town from CA. So we decided we would do another one with just our family since we never have. It was a lot of work, of course I didn't think it would be that bad. lol! The kids were so excited by all of the food and nice place settings. Apparently not enough to eat very much of it. Oh well! Good thing Kevin is the human garbage disposal. 6 hours of cooking is never in vain when you have a hubby like mine. Yet he will always be skinnier than me, go figure!
